The Proposal to raise the Selkirk Rex to the Intermediate Stage was accepted by the Governing Council for the Cat Fancy in October 2006.Once this was accepted the Selkirk's are then able to compete against each other for Intermediate Certificates from June 2007 to be able to then to apply for the final stage of Championship status. This application will be compiled as soon as Intermediate status has started June 2007 which will then kick off the process of correlation of information all over again. We will require 20 cats to win 3 IC's each under different judges. To assist in this process, anyone owning, breeding and showing the Selkirk Rex breed will need to supply details of their cats and kittens and winnings to satisfy these GCCF rules of application.
